Will Israel require all incoming travelers to quarantine? Up for debate at today's Coronavirus Cabinet meeting
The Ministry of Health reported another 1,110 new COVID cases yesterday. The number of patients in serious condition remains at 60.
The debate during this recent surge continues to surround Ben-Gurion International Airport. According to the current policy, vaccinated travelers or those who have recovered from the coronavirus only need to self-isolate for 24 hours while waiting for their PCR test results upon arrival to Israel.
The Coronavirus Cabinet will convene today and is expected to require all incoming travelers – vaccinated or not – to quarantine upon arrival for 4 or perhaps 7 days, according to Hebrew media reports.
