The terror organization Hamas continued its propaganda warfare over the weekend, releasing a new video showing Israeli hostage Elkana Bohbot while hinting that U.S.-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander was killed in Israeli airstrikes.

Throughout the war, Hamas has regularly released videos showing hostages reading out propaganda messages aimed at inciting protests against the Israeli government. Freed hostages later recounted how they were forced to film the videos and were ordered what to say.

Bohbot’s family approved the publication of the video on Saturday.

In a new, cruel twist, it shows Bohbot talking to his family in a mock phone call.

Bohbot is seen telling his wife and son about his dreams of returning home, and asks them not to stop pushing for his release. “Keep doing everything for me!” he says, adding that he “appealed to the state, appealed to the government, appealed to everyone” for his release.

“I have appealed to the IDF, also. I have heard that they are signing petitions to stop the war and release us,” he says, dating the filming of the new video to the past few weeks, as this refers to a wave of open letters signed by IDF reserve soldiers and veterans calling to end the war.

“That’s good, keep going,” Bohbot says, “they care more about their citizens than the government.”

Finally, Bohbot urges his brother to ask U.S. President Donald Trump to bring about his release, adding that he is not in good health and afraid he may die.

This is the third video featuring Bohbot since he was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7, 2023.

"At the end of Passover, the only thing we experience is the complete opposite of freedom," Bohbot's family stated.

"We call on everyone who has a hand in this to bring them home now and put an end to their suffering, our families' and the suffering of the entire Jewish people throughout the world."

Also on Saturday, Hamas followed up on an earlier claim that it lost contact with the cell holding the Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander, saying they were unsure of his fate after allegedly finding the body of one of Alexander’s guards.

On Tuesday, the terror group said it had lost contact following Israeli airstrikes in the area.

Hamas also published a propaganda video featuring Alexander last week.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesman Dr. Omer Dostri, gave a rare interview to Channel 12 news program “Meet the Press,” asserting claim the government is rejecting an alleged deal to secure the return of all hostages is false.

the government is rejecting an alleged deal to secure the return of all hostages is false.

“It is impossible to return everyone with one deal. This is a spin,” Dostri said.

“There isn’t anyone who doesn’t want to return our hostages. We are doing everything to return the hostages, and the moment we return everyone, we will eliminate Hamas. It is impossible to do a deal for everyone. Hamas is demanding an end to the war,” he explained.

On Thursday night, Hamas officially rejected the latest hostage deal offer. Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya said the group rejects “partial deals.”

For a ceasefire agreement, “the occupation must stop the war completely and withdraw completely from the Gaza Strip,” al-Hayya said.
