You’re wrong if you think the Hamas fight is not your fight

If you’ve been sitting on your couch and watching the massive protests on TV in major cities across the world, as well as on American campuses, thinking to yourself, 'It doesn’t concern me,' then you’re about as wrong as can be. 

What isn’t your fight, at the moment, will be unavoidably yours much sooner than you think, because Hamas sympathizers who, for now, are siding with the terrorists against Israel and the Jewish people, will eventually go after the next enemy in line, and that will be anyone who falls under the category of a Christian or born in the West (meaning America, Europe and pretty much every civilized country on the face of the earth).

Because theirs is an insidious ideological battle, steeped in their perverse belief that anyone outside of Islam is an infidel in need of being eradicated. It is a fanatical theology that ascribes to a holy war which Allah still demands in order to obliterate Israel. Article 13 of the Hamas Charter states, “Palestine is an Islamic land…Since that is the case, the Liberation of Palestine is an individual duty for every Moslem wherever he may be.” Article 15 claims that “since the Jews have usurped the land, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised.”

But wait, there’s more!  It was Muhammad, the father of Islam, whose “culture was characterized by tribal warfare, brutality and promiscuity. He emphasized divine control and opposed religious liberty.” His legacy was one of constant wars and crusades that sought to impose Islam by force throughout much of Europe, the Middle East and even Central Asia.

Today, Muslims number into the millions, in America as well as throughout Europe, and with the non-stop influx of Muslim migrants to those countries, they, along with their supporters, will dominate both areas in pretty short order. Muslims, per the Qur’an, believe that the basic tenets of the Christian faith are blasphemous, rejecting all of the Biblical teachings. Here is a worthwhile site to learn more. For them, their holy book is the “final revelation of God, with salvation being achieved only through submission to Allah.”  

It was the terror group ISIS, which specifically targeted Christians in a Cairo church, resulting in the death of 25 Egyptian Christians in December 2016. That attack was “followed by a stolen truck driven through a Christmas market in Berlin, Germany, leaving 12 dead. ISIS also sent threatening messages to Christians in North Sinai, killing eight of them.”

The combination of a number of losses, on the battlefield, as well as their obsession with revenge, is what was said to have been responsible for their targeting of Christian sites. But, overall, it must be understood that anyone who does not adhere to Islam is defined by the term “’kafir,’ translated as ‘infidel,’ ‘pagan,’ ‘denier,’ ‘rejector,’ ‘disbeliever,’ ‘unbeliever’ or ‘non-believer,’” denoting a “sense of being ‘ungrateful’ toward God.”

So, what do you do with those kinds of people who, not only are unwilling to go along with the Islamic program but are also seen as thankless and faithless? History has recorded that they were either designated as “Dhimmis,” (inferior to Muslims and required to pay a tax) or required to convert to Islam or be exiled or killed. 

Could a repeat of that happen in what we view as enlightened times, where free and democratic societies allow for freedom of religion?

When you see the massive protests, numbering into the hundreds of thousands, in so many countries, the reality begins to set in. First, they were against Israel’s policy of retaliation, despite there being a justified and moral obligation to go after savage terrorists who perpetrated a brutal massacre upon innocent civilians. 

From there, their anger morphed into a vile collective anti-Semitism, which vilified all Jews by virtue of their ethnicity. Then, the rage became directed at supporters of Israel vis a vis the Biden administration who, after showing strong backing, downgraded their position to nothing more than tepid support, which sought to impose “humanitarian” pauses in the midst of great military advances.

Any who express even the slightest bit of support for the nation of Israel, are immediately looked upon with contempt, as can be seen in the way pro-Israel rallies are confronted, by those opposed to the Jewish state, who call for the freeing of Palestine 'from the river to the sea.' 

So, who comprises the hundreds of thousands who are marching throughout Europe, America and Australia, carrying the Palestinian flags? It’s not ISIS or Hamas members, although who really knows if, among the protestors are embedded terrorists who somehow managed to enter illegally or even legally? 

The protestors are primarily comprised of two groups – those with Palestinian or Arab family ties and young Marxist indoctrinated, leftist individuals whose Woke victimhood mentality is perfectly compatible with proliferating the notion that Palestinians qualify as the real underdog, worthy of their advocacy through angry, well-organized activism.  

It's clear that the progression of rage will not stop their disdain for supporters of Israel, especially when the goal of Islam is to have everyone under its domination. What starts with an angry mob over the existence of the nation of Israel, will only end when every woman is hidden under a smothering burqa and every man bows down five times a day to Allah. 

Sadly, this is not a fight that you can sit out, because being neutral will not be possible. The end game was stated by Osama bin Laden, himself in 1991 when he stated his goal “to reestablish the Muslim State throughout the world via the overthrow of corrupt regimes in the Islamic world and the removal of foreign presence – primarily American and Israeli – from the Middle East, issuing three anti-U.S. fatwas encouraging Muslims to take up arms against Washington’s ‘imperialism.”

So, whether you are a devout believer or just a nominal one, whether you enthusiastically support Israel or haven’t thought much about it, your own personal freedom of religion, as well as all your other cherished freedoms, are not necessarily guaranteed to continue, because the dramatic and sudden changes in world societies are pointing to the fact that sides are already being taken. 

Hence, this might be a good time to figure out which one you’re going to take, because, at some point soon, passively sitting on the couch will no longer be an option.
