Phillip Thomas Tucker, Ph.D., has written more than 130 books of groundbreaking history. He earned his Ph.D. in history from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, in May 1990. Tucker then worked for more than two decades as a civilian historian for the Department of Defense, including in Washington, D.C., and at the Pentagon. He is now retired and has devoted himself to writing history full-time. Because he has been so prolific in the field of history over the decades, Dr. Tucker has acquired the reputation as "the Stephen King of History."
