An Israeli woman is being treated at a hospital after being stabbed in the back by another female in a suspected terror attack in Jerusalem this morning while walking her children to school.
The 26-year-old mother was pushing a stroller this morning when she was attacked. The suspect – believed to be a 15 year-old girl – fled and was later apprehended.
The East Jerusalem neighborhood, Shimon Hatzadik, is next to the flashpoint neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, where ownership of a building is under dispute in a controversial lawsuit pitting Jews against Arabs.
If ruled by investigators as terrorism, this would make it the fourth terror attack in the country in the past three weeks and the third in Jerusalem.
