WATCH: Lies exposed – Unused humanitarian aid piles up, remains undistributed to civilians in Gaza
Israel's Channel 12 report shows vast amount of aid wasted
Since the Hamas-led terrorist attack against Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has faced global scrutiny over the lack of humanitarian aid being allowed into the Gaza Strip.
Hamas has become a major obstacle for its own people. They have been filmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) seizing aid trucks for its own purposes.
Additionally, gang-related groups have been hijacking these aid shipments, selling the supplies to local markets at inflated prices, further exploiting the civilian population in Gaza.
While the IDF inspects all aid entering Gaza, it – along with the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) – manages several entry points into Gaza. From the beginning, the IDF has refused to accept responsibility for distributing the aid throughout the Strip once it crosses the border.
Organizations have been struggling to distribute crucial resources efficiently, resulting in significant amounts of aid going to waste. The amount of waste is truly astounding though it had not been widely known until Israel's Channel 12 news exposed the extent of the issue.
As shown in the video above, a vast amount of humanitarian aid boxes have remained undistributed in warehouse lots for over a year. The boxes contain now-expired food items, and supplies like baby diapers and formula, which would have helped the families fleeing to the refugee area set up in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
