Syria’s Crisis Deepens: Christians & Minorities Under Attack

Join Joel Rosenberg as he details the alarming humanitarian crisis unfolding in Syria, where over a thousand civilians have been killed in a week, predominantly by loyalists of the newly established regime following the ousting of Bashar al-Assad. The situation has worsened for various minority groups, especially Christians, who are facing targeted violence from the radical Islamist group Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). This group has claimed to have distanced itself from ISIS, yet the violence and persecution against those associated with the former regime, particularly Christians, Kurds, and Alawites, have intensified. The Christian population in Syria has drastically declined from 1.3 million before the civil war to approximately 300,000 today, due in large part to fear of persecution and the brutal actions of extremist groups. Rosenberg urges global awareness and prayer for the safety of Christians and other minorities in Syria, as the region faces a bleak and unstable future.
