Upon landing in Washington, Netanyahu deals with COVID crisis back in Israel

Israeli Prime Minister and his team landed in Washington, D.C. on Monday morning. But rather than dealing with preparations for the White House peace treaty ceremony tomorrow, he immediately had to turn his attention to the COVID crisis back in Israel that is at risk of spinning dangerously out of control.
Netanyahu just held a conference call to discuss preparations that are being made for the national lockdown that will begins on Friday. On the call was Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, Deputy Health Minister Kisch, National Security Council head Meir Ben Shabbat, Israel’s COVID “czar” Professor Gamzu, and Health Ministry Director General Levy, among others.
