On THE ROSENBERG REPORT, how Evangelical NGOs like The Joshua Fund are caring for Israelis devastated by war and terror

SDEROT, ISRAEL – Today marks the 62nd day of war.

And there is no end in sight.

Indeed, the war in the south against Hamas – and in the north against Hezbollah – is more intense than ever.

The media won’t tell you, but I will: Israel is definitely winning, but the death toll is very high and the suffering is immense.

One story you’re probably not hearing is this.

Hundreds of thousands of Israelis who live on the borders of Gaza and Lebanon have become IDPs, “Internally Displaced Persons.”

Those not staying with family and friends in safer parts of the country are living in hotels in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, near the Dead Sea, in Eilat, and elsewhere. 

And their needs are enormous.

So, how can Evangelical Christians around the world help these folks in a real and practical way, in addition to non-stop prayer?

That’s exactly the question I’ll address on this week’s edition of THE ROSENBERG REPORT.

I’ve brought my TBN film crew to Sderot, the largest Israeli city on the Gaza border, to see how Evangelical NGOs (non-governmental organizations) like The Joshua Fund are providing fresh food, canned goods, cooking oil, toilet paper, toiletries, and other essential items to poor and needy Israelis and those hardest hit by the multi-front war.

The Joshua Fund is the charitable and educational ministry that my wife, Lynn, and I founded in 2006 “to bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus, according to Genesis 12:1-3.”

That’s the famous passage laying out the Abrahamic Covenant.

And relaying to us God’s promise to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and ultimately the 12 tribes of Israel that “those who bless you I will bless, and the one who curses you I will curse.”

Over the past 17 years, The Joshua Fund has raised and invested upwards of $100 million toward strengthening the Church in the Epicenter, educating the Church around the world about God’s love and plan for Israel and her neighbors, and providing humanitarian aid through local congregations to those who need it most.

On this week’s program, I’ll introduce you to an Israeli pastor and his wife that The Joshua Fund has been supporting, praying for, encouraging, and partnering with for years.

You’ll hear their harrowing story of how they saw Hamas terrorists invading their city and killing their friends and neighbors on Saturday, Oct. 7.

And you’ll see their faith in action – how, with the help of The Joshua Fund, they are bringing food, encouragement, and real hope to their traumatized community.
