Defense Minister Gantz, MK Bennett hospitalized this weekend; both released
Gantz felt unwell whereas Bennett's second visit this week was related to a prior injury, his office says
Both Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz and Yamima party leader Naftali Bennett were hospitalized over the weekend.
Gantz was treated and released from Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer on Sunday after feeling unwell. He is expected to undergo a number of tests at the hospital throughout the day.
"These days it’s not worth taking too many risks. We stopped, took a small examination," Gantz said on Twitter after he returned to the Knesset. "Everything is fine… I am continuing my work."
His visit this morning was not related to his back surgery that he underwent in August. Gantz has suffered with a herniated disc from an injury sustained during his military service.
Bennett was hospitalized for the second time this week for neck pain.
"Since his military service in the General Staff Reconnaissance Regiment, MK Bennett has been dealing with a back problem and from time to time he is treated for it. The medical procedure he underwent today is a continuation of the same treatment he underwent last week," his office said in a statement.
