IDF strikes terror cell attempting to launch anti-tank missiles towards Israel
Early this morning, Israel Defense Forces identified a terrorist cell attempting to launch an anti-tank missile toward the Avivim area near the border of Lebanon.
After identifying the cell, IDF soldiers struck the cell before they could carry out the attack.
Yesterday, an IDF soldier was wounded in a Hezbollah attack using an anti-tank missile fired at IDF troops near the border.
While not officially stating its participation in the Gaza war, Hezbollah has been repeatedly launching small attacks on Israel’s northern border since the start of the war.
The IDF continues to maintain an alert status in Israel's northern region, including a large military presence, in the event that Hezbollah decides to formally enter the conflict.
