16:14 - Haifa Bay under fire again as Hezbollah launches 5 rockets

Hezbollah fired five rockets at the Haifa area earlier, triggering sirens in Haifa, Nesher, and several of the Krayot suburbs.

The IDF said most of the rockets were intercepted and the rest fell in open areas.

14:38 - Israel reportedly strikes in Damascus just after arrival of Iranian advisor

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck a target in the Damascus neighborhood of al-Mazza, according to Syrian reports.

The strike came shortly after reports that Ali Larijani, a senior advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, landed in the city.

13:43 - IDF hits around 30 Hezbollah targets in Dahiyeh over past 2 days

The IAF struck around 30 Hezbollah targets in the terror group's stronghold, the Dahiyeh district in Beirut, over the past two days.

On Thursday, the IAF wrapped up the latest series of intelligence-based strikes on Hezbollah weapons storage facilities, command centers, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites," the military said.

"These strikes were a part of the IDF's ongoing efforts to dismantle and degrade Hezbollah's military capabilities, and the IDF is continuing to strike Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites in the Dahiyeh area. Prior to the strikes, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk to civilians, including the gathering of prior intelligence, using aerial surveillance, and issuing advance warnings to the population in the area," the IDF added.

Rocket alarm sirens were activated in the coastal town of Rosh Hanikra, close to the Lebanese border.

11:58 - IDF troops keep finding large weapon stores in southern Lebanon operations

Forces of the 188th Armored Brigade continued their advance in southern Lebanon, finding more weapons stores while raiding new targets, the IDF said.

During searches over the last few days, they located a weapons warehouse of Hezbollah's 'Radwan Force' containing RPG launchers, sniper weapons and ammunition. All the weapons were confiscated and destroyed.

Footage released by the IDF showed RPGs, Kalashnikov rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles with thermal sights, and many more weapons.

In another raid, engineering forces found a launch area with loaded rocket launchers aimed at northern Israeli settlements.

Alarm sirens were activated in Dishon, Avivim and Malkia, close to the Lebanese border.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported explosions near Damascus, allegedly due to Israeli strikes.

09:35 - Netanyahu's Chief of Staff Tzachi Braverman to appear for police questioning

Netanyahu's chief of staff, Tzachi Braverman, is scheduled to appear at Israel Police special unit Lahav 433's offices in Lod for questioning over suspicion that he was involved in the "Protocols" affair.

Braverman is suspected of attempting to alter transcripts of classified discussions regarding the Oct. 7 events and allegedly pressuring an IDF officer in the military secretariat of the Prime Minister's Office to implement the changes

08:23 - IDF Arabic spokesman issues additional evacuation warning in Dahiyeh

IDF Arabic Spokesman Avichay Adraee issued a second evacuation warning for parts of Dahiyeh.

Highlighting the location of two buildings about to be targeted by the IDF, Adraee told residents: "You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the IDF will operate in the near future. For your safety and the safety of your family members, you must evacuate these buildings and those adjacent to them immediately and stay away from them for a distance of no less than 500 meters."

Adraee issued a similar warning before the airstrikes earlier this morning.

08:11 - HRW accuses Israel of war crimes, crimes against humanity over Gaza evacuation orders

Human Rights Watch released a new report this morning accusing Israel of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, including pursuing a deliberate policy of forcibly displacing people and denying them the right to return home.

According to NGO Monitor, HRW has a history of anti-Israel positions during previous conflicts between Hamas and the IDF.

According to reports in the Associated Press and Reuters, the Republican Party will control both houses of Congress when President-elect Donald Trump takes office on Jan. 20.

06:25 - Islamic Resistance in Iraq claims responsibility for drone attacks in the north

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), a pro-Iranian militia group, claimed responsibility for attacking "three vital targets" in the north with drones.

05:48 - IDF intercepts 2nd drone over Syria

A short while ago, a UAV that approached Israeli territory from the east was intercepted by the IAF in Syrian airspace, the IDF announced. The UAV was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory.

This is the second UAV that was launched from the east and intercepted by the IAF in the last few hours.

Following the sirens that were activated in Ma'alot-Tarshiha and Abirim a short time ago, the IDF reported that two rockets had been launched from Lebanon and exploded in open areas.

The Lebanese al-Manar news site reported two different Israeli airstrikes in the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut in the past five minutes.

It reported Israeli air raids targeting Borj Al-Barajneh and Haret Hreik, both in Beirut’s Hezbollah-controlled Dahiyeh suburb.

The IDF intercepted a drone over the waters near Eilat on Wednesday night and released a video of the interception by the missile boat this morning.

The IDF reported that a short time ago, a UAV that approached Israeli territory from the east was intercepted by the IAF in Syrian airspace. The drone was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory.
