Rewarding Hamas by giving them a Palestinian state

Here’s a new word most of us haven’t heard. It’s the term “libation.” Connected to making a sacrifice in order to keep the gods happy, it was utilized in ancient Greece. “Libations were made before meals, the signing of treaties and the creation of laws. Given when things were going poorly, a libation basically meant, ‘Can this thing go well, please.’”

Much hasn’t changed despite the passage of thousands of years, because the U.S. is now contemplating employing the same strategy as was done back then. But in this case, it’s rewarding a bloody, savage massacre with coveted statehood and world recognition.

“U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken ordered the U.S. State Department to prepare staff work that will examine the possibility of American and International recognition of the state of Palestine the day after the war in Gaza, Walla reported citing two senior US administration officials.”

The colossally bad idea is tantamount to a parent’s capitulation of purchasing the toy over which a toddler had a public meltdown when initially told “no.” What message did that out-of-control kid receive? That next time they want something, just use the same tactic. Well, Oct. 7th was the mother of all public meltdowns. It way surpassed the rocket launching of 2021 and inflicted an intensity of pain, for the Jewish homeland, which has not been rivaled in its 75 years of statehood. It crushed the heart and soul of the nation which is still reeling from its aftermath.

But instead of punishing the heinous, barbaric acts of a terror group that meticulously planned a surprise attack upon whole communities, who safely slept in their beds on an early morning Shabbat, Blinken, in his infinite wisdom, has decided that the best way to appease the Hamas barbarians is to reward them with their own state. Before anyone jumps the gun and says that he intends to bestow statehood upon Palestinians and not Hamas, let’s, as they say, unpack that claim.

If Palestinians are the recipients of such a treasured endowment, the day after the war, who could cast any doubt on the proximity of the prize to the brutal massacre, that began the chain of events that followed? Would anyone be entertaining such a possibility in the absence of Oct. 7? Not likely! Such a windfall would not be a consideration had the status quo remained. And who are “the Palestinians,” those inheriting their own state? Would they be the same heartless people who rejoiced over the news of the butchering of 1,200 innocents? Are they the identical individuals who distributed sweets and were giddy with glee at the success of this wholesale killing? Have none of these people sworn allegiance to Hamas or assisted them in their efforts to inflict death upon Israelis?

Are they committed to the motto, “from the river to the sea” or is that just a chant that is being heard by overseas communities that somehow invented the saying on their own? Perhaps, the most bewildering aspect, of this insane proposal, is that the U.S. Secretary of State, among others, still naively believes that Palestinians, either under the leadership of Hamas or absent their leadership, are happy to be part of a two-state solution. How could anyone who witnessed the events of October 7 still come away with such a deluded fantasy?

Was nothing learned from those horrific acts which clearly sent the message that only a one-state solution is of interest to them?

To not properly digest or process what occurred on that fateful day, can only be explained in one of two ways. Either there is a massive fear, on the part of the U.S., which believes that the terror executed by Hamas, facilitated by their patron nation, Iran and aided by Qatar operatives, Hezbollah fighters, Houthi tribal warriors and millions of sympathizers around the globe, can only be appeased by offering up the ultimate sacrifice of recognized statehood, thereby assuaging the anger of the terror gods.

The other explanation is that they have decided to turn a blind eye to the murders, rapes, beheadings, torture and kidnappings, for the sake of political expediency which will reward them at November’s ballot box. So what, if it’s at the price of endangering Israel, the only free democracy in the Middle East? Jews are expendable. They always have been, and the sad truth is that few U.S. administrations were willing to come to their rescue in their greatest times of need.

Perhaps, there is a third explanation. This administration is just not very bright or intuitive as it relates to their ability to draw on the past in order to predict the future. Either way, the inane concept of rewarding Palestinians/Hamas with their own sovereign state is a sure recipe for disaster which will not only wreak havoc for Israel but one which will also have catastrophic consequences for the rest of the world. Because if they can pull off such a conquest, why not go for broke?

What starts with the Jewish homeland only ends when the U.S. has also been conquered, and with an open southern border, allowing for the possibility of tens of thousands of radical Islamic terrorists to walk in unhindered, how long will it be before savage acts become commonplace on American shores?

This is what people like Antony Blinken fail to recognize. This battle is not solely contained in one geographic location. It is a struggle for the human soul which must vow subservience to the god, Allah, who is not satisfied, assuaged, or appeased until all worship at his altar. To miss that point is to completely underestimate and improperly evaluate the goals and ambitions of a dangerous credo that is tireless in its efforts to wage war until everyone is defeated.

So, what possible justification can be made for selling out Israel and making an already unsafe world just a bit more perilous?

Which senior U.S. official is clueless enough to naively believe that “the war in Gaza and the efforts to find a diplomatic solution opened the way for a reexamination within the administration of many old paradigms in the policy of the United States towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?”

This same genius stated that “there are elements within the Biden administration who recommend changing policy and moving towards recognizing a Palestinian state as a first step in a renewed peace process and not as a last step that would be the result of negotiations between the parties.”

Sorry, but there can be no renewed peace process so long as one side is bent on exterminating the other because that is not the definition of peace but rather the goal of real genocide. The word co-existence is dependent upon the involvement of two parties. In this case, Blinken should know that the recognition of Palestinian statehood will only serve to facilitate the extinction of the existing State of Israel which, sadly, appears to be the only firewall preventing worldwide calamity.
