WATCH VIDEO: Amid the raging war, Israel sees a political breakthrough
Prime Minister Netanyahu and Benny Gantz agree on emergency unity government
Tom Tradup, new contributing editor and senior advisor for ALL ISRAEL NEWS, and Editor-in-Chief Joel Rosenberg once again had a 30-minute conversation over Zoom to discuss the latest developments in the war that’s raging here.
The most important development came on Wednesday evening, as Israel’s emergency unity government finally arrived.
ALL ISRAEL NEWS was among the first news outlets to report the agreement, which saw former Defense Minister Benny Gantz join Netanyahu’s government and also create a special war cabinet to include Netanyahu, Gantz and current Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
This war cabinet will call the shots regarding the war from now on – a war that continues to rage mainly in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli Air Force continues to bomb Hamas targets.
Tensions are continuing to rise in the north, where a false alarm of an invasion from Lebanon sent millions of Israelis scrambling to their shelters on Wednesday evening.
There are fears that the Lebanon-based terror organization Hezbollah will eventually join the war against Israel, which has provoked several incidents along the northern Israeli border already.
Meanwhile, U.S. National Security Advisor Spokesman John Kirby conceded that Iran’s fingerprint can be seen in Hamas’ brutal attack on Saturday but reiterated that no credible evidence of Iranian funding or involvement is known to him.
Tradup and Rosenberg asked themselves, does this pass the smell test?
They also discussed U.S. President Joe Biden's passionate support for Israel in light of his recent decision to transfer $6 billion to Iran, the world’s largest sponsor of terror, including Hamas and Hezbollah.
“This is Israel’s darkest hour,” Rosenberg said, calling on Christians to continue praying for Israel.
“Let’s ask big things from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Rosenberg added.
