WATCH: Touching scenes as Israeli girl returns to kindergarten after surviving 50 days in Hamas captivity
Her friends and her teacher hug her enthusiastically
Five-year-old Emilia Aloni finally returned to her kindergarten and was warmly welcomed by her friends and the teachers, after spending almost two months in Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip.
Emilia and her mother Danielle were released in the first group of hostages on Nov. 24 during the truce agreement between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization, which was mediated by the United States and Qatar.
After spending time in a hospital for check-ups, the two returned to their home in the town of Yavne and were received by throngs of joyful residents lining the streets with flags and cheering them.
A video showed Emilia and Danielle smiling in gratitude while driving through the crowds.
Now, Emilia returned to her kindergarten. After being dropped off by her grandfather, the young girl was seen being embraced by her friends and the kindergarten teacher, who said she wanted to start singing in celebration.
One of Emilia’s friends can be heard saying, “I missed you,” while another said, “I haven’t seen you for a very long time.”
Despite spending two months in captivity under the Gaza Strip, Emilia seems to be in good health and excited to be back with her friends.
