Hello, I'm Kayla Sprague for ALL ISRAEL NEWS. Thank you for joining us for today’s prayer points, here as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem.

Let's begin with scripture. Deuteronomy 33:29 tells us: "Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights."

Today we focus our prayers on Israel's recent ground operations in Lebanon. The IDF has confirmed the start of limited, localized and targeted ground raid against Hezbollah terrorist targets in southern Lebanon. This marks a new phase in Israel's ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.

Before we dive into our prayer points, it's important to understand the context of this operation. Many of the soldiers involved have been called to reserves for the second or third time. While this means they are well-trained and experienced, it also means they are exhausted. Their families, too, are overwhelmed and drained from the repeated separations and constant uncertainty.

Moreover, Lebanon as a front weighs heavily on the Israeli psyche. The memory of fallen soldiers from the conflicts in the 1980s and 1990s is still fresh, and there's a fear of a prolonged Israeli presence in Lebanon once again.

With all of this in mind, let us pray together:

1. For the safety of our soldiers as they enter hostile territory. May the God of hope be their shield and protector, especially as they face the challenges of fatigue and repeated deployments.

2. For divine strategies to be revealed to Israel's military leaders. May they have wisdom and discernment and discretion in every decision, balancing the need for security with the desire to avoid prolonged conflict and how that impacts civilians.

3. For confusion among Israel's enemies, that their plans may be thwarted and many lives would be saved.

4. For the families of our brave soldiers – the wives, children, mothers, and fathers left behind. May they find strength and peace during this difficult time, especially those facing multiple deployments and separation as a family.

5. For the marriages struggling under the weight of prolonged and repeated reserve duty. Many wives have been left to handle family responsibilities alone multiple times. Lord, sustain these relationships.

6. For the emotional and mental well-being of all affected by this conflict. May they find comfort in You, Lord, especially as they grapple with the historical weight of operations in Lebanon.

7. For a swift and decisive operation that achieves its objectives without leading to a prolonged presence in Lebanon and to save as many lives as possible.

As we conclude, let's remember the promise in Isaiah 46:4: "I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you."

This is a promise. We love praying for the promises of God over Israel.
