Two killed in attack on Israeli-linked ship in Oman
An oil tanker linked to an Israeli billionaire was attacked on Thursday off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea, killing two crewmen, in what one Israeli source called a "cruel terror attack" by a suicide drone.
This represents the first time anyone has died in the repeated attacks on ships in the region over the past few months.
Both Israeli and U.S. sources said it appears that a drone was used in the attack. No one has claimed responsibility, though one Israel source blamed Iran.
The two crewmen killed were British and Romanian nationals.
The shipping company is owned by Israeli Eyal Ofer and the ship itself by a Japanese company.
