Terrorist who shot female IDF soldier killed after another attempted attack outside of Jerusalem
PM Lapid: "We will not rest until we get our hands on every terrorist that has harmed Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers"
A Palestinian terrorist who killed IDF Sgt. Noa Lazar last weekend, was shot and killed by Israeli security forces on Wednesday while he attempted another terror attack in Jerusalem.
Udai Tamimi, 22, arrived at the entrance of a Jerusalem suburb and started shooting at a security post. He injured a 24-year-old security guard who suffered mild gunshot wounds to his hand. Tamimi was shot during an exchange of fire with Israeli guards who found a grenade and knife on his body.
Police later confirmed that the terrorist was Tamimi, who has been missing since he shot and killed Lazar at a Jerusalem checkpoint near Shuafat on Oct. 8.

She was 18 years old.
SGT Lazar served in the Erez Battalion of the Military Police. After her death, she was promoted from the rank of Corporal to Sergeant.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid commended the IDF, Shin Bet, police and border police officers for "eliminating” Tamimi while he was attempting another attack.
“We will not rest until we get our hands on every terrorist that has harmed Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers,” Lapid said in a statement.
Ma’aleh Adumim – a sprawling Israeli city located outside of Jerusalem, east of the Green Line – is considered a settlement by the international community.
Defense Minister Benny Gantz highlighted the “professionalism and determination” of forces that prevented another harm to human life. He added: “We will put our hands on all the terrorists and their senders, we will act wherever and whenever it is required.”
Israeli security forces vowed to continue investigating the circumstances behind the attack in which Lazar was killed and Tamimi managed to escape. They said that 15 suspects were arrested in recent days for their alleged involvement.
Last week, another Palestinian gunman carried out a drive-by shooting near the settlement of Shavei Shomron killing 21-year-old Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch. The shooter managed to flee and a manhunt to find him is still underway.
