Report: Group of Jews stabbed Arab man in Jerusalem
A 19-year-old Arab man is in serious but stable condition at the hospital after being stabbed by a group of Jewish men, according to an Israeli media report.
Police have not confirmed the report, which was on the Walla news site, but are apparently investigating the incident for a nationalistic motive, the article said.
The Arab man was waiting for a ride home after work near Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda market on Wednesday night.
“Six guys who were looking for a fight passed by. A fight broke out and they stabbed him all over his body,” Walla reported quoting an eyewitness. “He started running until he collapsed.”
After the 11-day conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip back in May, tensions between Israeli Jews and Arabs soared leading to violent protests around the country, some leading to murder.
