A terrorist in his 20s fatally stabbed a German tourist with a knife in a popular tourist area not far from the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris on Saturday evening. Two additional people were wounded during the incident.

Local authorities arrested the French-born terrorist who reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is great in Arabic) while carrying out the attack.

The terror attack took place amid the ongoing war between the Hamas terror organization and Israel.

French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne condemned the terror attack on X, formerly Twitter.

"Following this evening's attack in Paris, my thoughts are with the victim, the injured and their loved ones," Borne wrote. “We will not give in to terrorism. Never,” the French premier vowed.

French President Emmanuel Macron offered his condolences to the family of the German tourist who was murdered.

“I send all my condolences to the family and loved ones of the German national who died this evening during the terrorist attack in Paris,” Macron stated.

The terrorist had reportedly been sentenced to four years in jail in 2016, following a previously failed terror attack, according to French Minister of Interior Gerald Darmanin.

"A man attacked a couple who were foreign tourists. A German tourist who was born in the Philippines died from the stabbing," Darmanin stated.

"He had threatened them very violently... he will now have to answer for his actions before justice," he added.

The arrested terrorist reportedly informed French police he was upset that Muslims were being killed in “Afghanistan and Palestine.”

“The number of antisemitic acts has exploded,” Darmanin stated in early November.

French authorities had arrested 486 individuals at the time, including 102 foreign nationals, for various anti-Jewish crimes in France.

In early November, a French Jewish woman in her 30s was stabbed twice in the stomach outside of her home in the French city of Lyon. In addition, there was also a Swastika sprayed on her door.

Gregory Doucet, the mayor of Lyon condemned the attack.

"Such an act of violence is unthinkable. I offer all my support to the victim and her relatives," the mayor wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

France is home to Europe’s largest Jewish community, numbering some 500.000 people. At the same time, the nation is home to some 6–7 million Muslims, constituting around 10% of the total French population.
