On Tisha B'Av commemorating the destruction of the second temple: Jews begin to ascend the Temple Mount
Jews begin to ascend the Temple Mount on the 9th of the month of Av (known as Tisha B'Av in Hebrew). No special incidents have been recorded so far. This morning, young Arabs threw stones at police forces on the Temple Mount. The policemen entered the compound – also regarded as a holy site by Muslims – and dispersed the rioters without any arrests.
