National Religious Broadcasters 2023 convention to celebrate Israel’s 75th anniversary
Event will include speech by Israeli Minister of Tourism Haim Katz
The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) association – a nonpartisan, international association of Christian communicators – will have a special focus on Israel, celebrating the nation’s 75th anniversary at its annual International Christian Media Convention this year.
The convention, which takes place in Orlando, Florida, this year, will offer attendees a full slate of opportunities to learn about and connect with The Holy Land and the Israeli people in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel.
NRB President and CEO Troy Miller said, “NRB 2023 will be a one-of-a-kind forum for in-person engagement between Christian media leaders and Israeli businesses, organizations, and officials.”
He said NRB is “excited to present a special program of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel and highlighting the significance of the U.S.-Israel relationship.”
The opening session on Monday, May 22, which is being sponsored by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and CBN’s “Oracles of God” program, will include remarks from Israel’s Minister of Tourism Haim Katz.
Alongside Katz, there will be opening remarks from evangelist Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), and national radio host Abe Hamilton III.
On Tuesday, Israel365 Media, a digital marketing agency for pro-Israel audiences, is hosting a “Night to Celebrate Israel at 75”, where they are inviting Israeli startups, businesses and charities to connect with Christian communicators.
The celebratory event will include inspirational speeches from leading Christian and Jewish leaders, videos, and music celebrating Israel’s 75 years of achievement. There will also be a Joint Prayer Message for the safety and success of the State of Israel for the next 75 years.
The final day of the convention, on Wednesday, May 24, will start with NRB’s signature “Breakfast to Honor Israel”, which celebrates the enduring relationship between Christians and the Jewish people. The breakfast – sponsored by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM), the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), and InGrace with Jim Scudder, Jr. – will feature a keynote address from former U.S. Special Envoy Elan Carr.
NRB will host a high-profile panel discussion on Wednesday evening, “The Progress and Potential of the Abraham Accords.” Panelists will discuss the progress and potential of the accords, including how the agreements will potentially promote free trade, energy cooperation and American interests in the region. Panelists will also discuss recent developments between Abraham Accords nations.
The conference exhibit hall will feature booths from a variety of Israel-focused media, industry and nonprofit groups, including ALL ISRAEL NEWS and The Joshua Fund, Chosen People Ministries, Discovering the Jewish Jesus, Holy Gems, Holy Land Travel Center, ICEJ, International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, IMOT, Jewish Outreach International, Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, Yad L’Olim, MyHeritage and more.
Throughout the convention, Israel's Tourism Ministry booth will feature a special virtual reality exhibit with a VR headset for attendees to 'explore' Jerusalem and the Dead Sea via VR experiences: “The Holy City” and “Once Upon A Sea.”
The National Religious Broadcasters organization was founded in the 1940s in response to regulations designed to remove Evangelical Christian broadcasters from national radio networks. The organization worked to build credibility for Evangelical broadcasters, to secure their fair share of the available public interest slots and to overturn the ban on the purchase of radio airtime for religious broadcasting.
The NRB was not only successful in overturning the ban but, over the years, they have built a growing and dynamic association of national and international association for media groups seeking to use media as platform to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
