London Police to probe anti-Israel rally with some activists chanting 'Intifada, Revolution!'

London Metropolitan Police will reportedly investigate participants from an anti-Israel rally in central London on Saturday who called for, “Intifada, Revolution.”

Intifada, or uprising in Arabic, refers to anti-Israel campaigns that have claimed the lives of over 1,000 Israelis, even prior to the Oct. 7 terror attack by Hamas.

“London has no tolerance for hate crime, and we will take swift enforcement action against anyone who crosses the line," London's Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) said in an official statement.

London authorities in the British capital had warned there would be no tolerance for incitement and calls for violence. However, video clips posted on social media revealed that many anti-Israel activists ignored those warnings.

"We're aware, and officers are assessing this. Updates will follow," the London Police stated in response to the documented calls for violence. "Officers quickly located and arrested the man on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offense and suspected criminal damage."

Large anti-Israel and anti-Jewish rallies have been held in London on a weekly basis since the Hamas Oct. 7 massacre of over 1,200 Israeli men, women and children. Protesters have accused Western governments of siding with Israel against the Hamas terrorist organization.

"The Western Zionist puppet masters instruct their evil scum puppets in Tel Aviv to do their dirty work," read signs held by some of the anti-Israel activists on Saturday.

Anti-Israel and anti-Jewish rallies have largely been organized and led by radical Islamists and the extreme left. While ideologically very different, these two extremist groups are united in their opposition to Israel’s existence, as well as hostility towards Western societies.

Keynote speakers at the latest anti-Israel rally in London included the former British Labour Party chief Jeremy Corbyn and radical Gazan journalist Motaz Azaiza.

Corbyn who previously referred to Hamas as “friends,” was praised by the Iranian-backed terror proxy, which stated that it “salutes” Corbyn’s strong anti-Israel position. In 2020, the Labour Party expelled Corbyn due to multiple antisemitic scandals under his leadership that he refused to address.

In November, tens of thousands of people marched through the streets of London against the explosive rise of antisemitism in Great Britain.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who joined the rally against antisemitism, expressed his solidarity with Israel.

“It's very sad that this march has to take place at all. What we're all doing here is showing solidarity with Jewish people, and that is necessary,” Johnson stated.

While Johnson himself has occasionally criticized specific Israeli policies, the former British prime minister stressed that the explosion of Jew-hatred underlined the significance of a Jewish homeland.

“Whatever the rights and wrongs of what Israel has done, or is doing, I think that the antisemitism that we’ve seen in some of these marches around Western Europe and further afield has really confirmed for me the absolute necessity, the human necessity, for Israel to exist,” Johnson concluded.

British Jewry, numbering around 300,000, is one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe.

British Police recently apprehended two radicalized Muslim men who were planning an ISIS-style terror attack against Jews in Britain.

Amanda Bomsztyk, the northern regional director of the Community Security Trust, a British Jewish security advisory body, stressed the importance of addressing the serious security threat.

“This is one of a number of recent and ongoing cases that demonstrate why the Jewish community needs such extensive security measures,” she said.
