Released hostages Arbel Yehud, Gad Moses, Thaenna Pongsak, Sathian Suwannakhan, Sriaoun Watchara, Saethao Bannawat, and Rumnao Surasak have crossed into Israeli territory.

According to reports on Palestinian social media, the large presence of PIJ terrorists and members of other Palestinian resistance groups was meant as a show of force to Israel.
