JPost, Maariv targeted by pro-Iranian hackers with photo of nuclear explosion
The hack comes on the two-year anniversary of the targeted assassination IRGC Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani
The Jerusalem Post website and the Twitter account of Maariv – an Israeli news site in Hebrew – were hacked on Monday morning with a picture of Israel’s nuclear facility in Dimona being blown up.
"We are close to you where you do not think about it,” the hacked message said in both English and Hebrew.
The hack comes on the two-year anniversary of the targeted assassination by U.S. forces of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani.
It is also similar to a menacing video released last month showing Iran’s most graphic and detailed threat to date against the Israeli nuclear power plant. The video featured a simulated attack on Dimona facility. Read more here.
