Israeli judoka Raz Hershko wins second gold at Tel Aviv Grand Slam
Judoka Raz Hershko won Israel’s second gold medal at the international judo championship in Tel Aviv on Saturday.
Hershko, 24, won the victory against a Turkish opponent, Kayra Sayit, in the 78-kilogram (172-pound) category.
Her gold medal comes one day after Sagi Muki won the first gold medal for Israel at the tournament.
Muki, another Olympian, also defeated a Turkish opponent Vedat Albayrak, in the final on Friday.
With Hershko’s win, Israel’s medal tally stands at four, with Tamar Malca winning a silver and Timna Nelson Levi taking a bronze.
