Israel surpasses 6,000 COVID cases in one day

There were 6,275 positive COVID test results registered yesterday, from more than 130,000 tests. This figure presents nearly 5% positive test results - the highest percentage since early March. Currently 394 COVID patients are in serious condition, with 64 on ventilators.
The Israeli government and Health ministry continue to push for a third shot for Israeli citizens aged 60 and up, to boost the level of antibodies.
The Corona Cabinet is expected to meet soon to discuss further restrictions to curb the infection rate.
