‘Israel has the right to defend itself, BUT’ – Viral social media post blasts those who keep telling Israelis they should fight the war ‘better’
ALL ISRAEL NEWS correspondent Tal Heinrich, former spokesperson for Netanyahu’s Prime Minister Office lashed out at Israel’s critics
ALL ISRAEL NEWS correspondent Tal Heinrich, who served as a spokesperson for the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office throughout the Oct.7 war in Gaza, has attacked the most common lines of criticism often made against the Jewish state.
In a viral post published around the first anniversary of the Hamas invasion, Heinrich lashed out at world leaders and international institutions that have been urging Israel to fight its war against terror, but in a ‘different’ way.
Here is the text she posted on social media:
‘Israel has the right to defend itself, BUT’ – we started hearing on Oct. 8, 2023.
To all the people who keep telling us we should do “better,”
Let’s remove your masks at the one-year anniversary of the Hamas massacre and Hezbollah’s attack. You are fooling nobody but yourself.
For an entire year, you offered no alternative yet dared to criticize Israel after it took the most justified action to defend itself against evil enemies on seven different fronts. You kept saying, “How Israel does this matters.”
When we set up safer zones and evacuation routes for civilians – you said we need to do “better.”
When we told civilians (and the enemy) exactly when and where our forces are going to operate in advance –you said we need to do “better.”
When we carried out the most surgical strikes to take out arch-terrorists – you said we need to do “better.”
When we facilitated the entry of more than a million tons of humanitarian aid and food - you said we need to do “better.”
But what is “better”? “Better” than what?
You couldn’t elaborate because you have no historical examples to provide. The truth of the matter is that you know that Israel has done “better” than any other military in the history of modern urban warfare.
You never offered Israel a “better” course of action that will:
⁃ Guarantee the safety of Israeli citizens and soldiers.
⁃ Bring the hostages back home.
⁃ Create enough deterrence against future attacks recurring on any of the war fronts.
⁃ Enable the return of more than 100,000 Israelis to their homes in the South and North after more than a year.
⁃ Safeguard the lives and humanitarian needs of civilians behind enemy lines.
In simple words, when you say “do better” you mean that Israelis should die more, sacrifice the lives of more soldiers and civilians, go back to a perpetual reality of Oct. 6 in which we constantly compromised our security and made concession after concession only to receive more bloodshed in return?
When you say “better” – we hear “die more today or tomorrow.”
There is no alternative.
No substitute for total victory.
You know it.
We know it.
History knows it.
We refuse to die more for your fraudulent acceptance.
You can take chances on your own security, not ours.
You better be better yourself.
