Iranian Quds Force chief visits Lebanon for talks with Hezbollah head Nasrallah

Quds Force plays a central role in the ayatollah regime’s ideological war against the Jewish state’s existence

The chief of Iran's Islamic Guard Corps Quds Force, Esmail Qaani, arrived in Lebanon for talks with Hassan Nasrallah, the Iranian-backed terror group in Lebanon.

The Quds Force, named after Jerusalem in Arabic, is the ayatollah regime’s elite force for international operations in the Middle East and beyond.

Qaani became the Quds Force leader after the United States assassinated his predecessor, Gen. Qasem Soleimani, outside of the Iraqi capital Baghdad in January 2020.

Much of the IRGC's Quds activities focus on expanding and strengthening Iran’s vast network of terror proxies such as Hezbollah, the Houthis in Yemen, Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and pro-Iranian Islamist militias in Iraq and Syria.

In addition, the Quds Force plays a central role in the ayatollah regime’s ideological war against the Jewish state’s existence.

Tehran has invested billions of dollars to establish a military threat along Israel’s borders. Hezbollah, the radical pro-Iranian Lebanese Shiite group, is widely considered one of the world’s most powerful terror organizations with capabilities that eclipse those of Lebanon’s conventional military and many other armies worldwide. In July, mayors of northern Israeli border communities warned of a growing Hezbollah threat along the Lebanese-Israeli border.

"Hezbollah is violating all previous agreements pertaining to the border. We've seen katyusha rocket fire, tents being erected inside Israeli territory and members of the Lebanon-based terror group attempting to disrupt the military in its operations. The defense of our residents is compromised at the moment," warned Moshe Davidovitz, a regional council mayor in northern Israel.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who recently visited the region, warned Hezbollah against further provocations and said Israel would send Lebanon back "to the Stone Age."

“You have made mistakes in the past, you have paid very heavy prices. If… an escalation or conflict develops here, we will return Lebanon to the Stone Age. We will not hesitate to use all our power, and erode every inch of Hezbollah and Lebanon if we have to,” Gallant warned.
