Iran vows revenge – Israel prepares for all-out war in Lebanon – after assassination of Hamas & Hezbollah leaders
Israel’s former deputy foreign minister speaks with ALL ISRAEL NEWS
DENVER, COLORADO — After almost 10 months of missiles, mortars and RPG attacks by Hezbollah, Israelis in the north are bracing for all-out war with the Iranian-backed terror army in Lebanon.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his top military general have ordered the IDF to be on full alert – and more troops and tanks to the Lebanon border – as Iranian and Hezbollah leaders are ratcheting up their threats.
The precision and totally unexpected assassinations of both Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah military commander, in Beirut and Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, in Tehran are devastating blows to both terror groups.
The big question is: What happens next?
I asked Danny Ayalon – Israel’s former deputy foreign minister and former Israeli ambassador to the United States – for his thoughts.
Here’s what he told ALL ISRAEL NEWS on Wednesday.
“Experience shows that the most effective way to fight against terror organizations is taking out their leaders,” said Ayalon.
“Hamas and Hezbollah are the most cruel and dangerous terror organizations in the world today,” he noted. “They are supported by the ayatollahs of Iran and pursuing its interests.”
“The killing of Shukr and Haniyeh will weaken Hezbollah and make the region and the world safer.”
Ayalon said that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Hezbollah’s top leader, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, “should be next on the hit list.”
Ayalon added that “Haniyeh’s departure will not affect the negotiations on the hostage release. Equally, Shukr’s death will not escalate the situation in the north, which is dangerous enough.”
“Israel’s fight in self-defense against terror will not stop until all its objectives are fulfilled which will bring back stability to the region.”
