Influential Christian leaders from US, UK and Canada visit southern border communities during 4-day 'Pastors Solidarity Mission to Israel'
Bishop Robert Stearns and Eagles’ Wings host pastors who pledged their ongoing support for Israel amid war in Gaza
More than a dozen influential Christian pastors from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom embarked upon an impactful four-day mission to Israel to show solidarity for the Jewish state amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
The Eagles’ Wings Pastors Solidarity Mission to Israel, led by Bishop Robert Stearns and the Eagles’ Wings ministry last week, was the first of its kind since the Hamas massacre on Israel’s “Black Shabbat” of Oct. 7.
“There are absolutely no words for the horrors against Israel that we are now witnesses of after this trip. It is time for Christians to courageously stand with Israel like never before. ‘Never again’ is now,” Bishop Stearns said.
The leaders visited Israeli southern border communities that were devastated when terrorists breached the security border fence between Israel and Gaza. One such community, Kibbutz Kfar Aza, welcomed the leaders with an IDF escort as family members of hostages who were kidnapped into Gaza that day, shared their experiences and their desperate cries to release their loved ones who are still being held captive by Hamas terrorists and their accomplices.
The group of Christian pastors also visited the city of Sderot and spoke with Mayor Alon Davidi about the ongoing challenges their community is still facing.
Danny Danon, a Knesset member and a former representative of Israel to the United Nations met with the leaders, who expressed their support for the State of Israel, as well as the prayers of Christians worldwide.
Throughout the visit, the leaders brought with them significant donations for humanitarian assistance, specifically to support displaced Israeli families, to strengthen the work of emergency medical responders, and help to provide food supplies to soldiers on the frontlines.
The participants of the Pastors Mission pledged their unequivocal solidarity with the Jewish state and affirmed their ongoing efforts to continue supporting Israel during this difficult time.
Eagles’ Wings is a global movement that seeks to train the Christian church worldwide on the “vital and moral imperative of standing with Israel and against antisemitism and anti-Zionism.”
