In Newsmax interview, ALL ISRAEL NEWS Founder Joel Rosenberg explains why he’s not convinced about Ramaswamy

ALL ISRAEL NEWS Founder and Editor-in-Chief Joel Rosenberg recently interviewed Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on TBN's The Rosenberg Report.

Following the interview, Rosenberg spoke with Rob Schmitt on Newsmax about his interview with Ramaswamy and shared his primary concerns about the GOP presidential candidate.

Rosenberg began by sharing some of the qualities he appreciates about Ramaswamy.

“I love his immigrant story and his success story,” Rosenberg told Schmitt during the program.

Rosenberg said that he pressed Ramaswamy on several issues, including cutting aid to Israel and the Iran threat.

The problem is that “he’s saying different things to different people while constantly claiming that he’s always very consistent,” he explained.

When Rosenberg raised the issue of cutting off aid to Israel, which Ramaswamy had previously said he wanted to do by 2028, the presidential hopeful responded: “I'm not going to cut off Israel in a vacuum.”

He further stated that he would not “cut off our aid to Israel until Israel tells us that they are ready for it.”

Ramaswamy didn’t only revise statements about Israel, Rosenberg said, he also appeared to revise statements he made in reference to his foreign policy on Iran.

In a recent interview with Israel Hayom newspaper, Ramaswamy was asked if he would use force to stop Iran. He responded by stating he would not commit U.S. troops to a war against Iran.

“I think it's important to be strong, but in a way that doesn't accidentally walk us into wars that we don't belong in,” Ramaswamy said.

The lack of clarity on whether or not and how Ramaswamy would commit to stopping Iran’s nuclear ambitions did not sit well with Rosenberg.

While it would be possible to see Ramaswamy’s statement as providing further clarification to previous statements, Rosenberg told Schmitt, “he’s being a lot like a politician for a guy who prides himself that he’s not a politician.” 

Rosenberg said he doesn't believe Ramaswamy has any hostility toward Israel but that he does see the candidate's lack of foreign policy experience.

This echoes the comment made by Republican candidate Nikki Haley who, during the Republican presidential debate three weeks ago, told Ramaswamy: “You have no foreign policy experience, and it shows.”

Rosenberg noted that Ramaswamy holds a libertarian view.

“I think there's nothing wrong with being a libertarian unless you're the commander-in-chief and you start cutting loose American allies; starting with Israel, then Taiwan, then Ukraine, when they're facing the murderous tyrants of Iran, Russia, and China."

"You have to question the man's judgment, not his character, but his judgment,” Rosenberg emphasized.
