IDF arrests Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi for call to 'slaughter' Jews, saying 'what Hitler did to you was a joke'

Tamimi gained notoriety for her violence against IDF soldiers since she was a child

Israel Defense Forces arrested a well-known terrorist supporter from the West Bank on Monday, after she incited the murder of Jews.

“Ahed Tamimi was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence and terrorist activities in the town of Nabi Saleh” near the city of Ramallah, an Israeli army spokesman told the AFP, adding that “Tamimi was transferred to Israeli security forces for further questioning.”

Last week, 22-year-old Tamimi called for Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria to be killed, saying that what Hitler did to the Jews would pale in comparison to what she and her fellow Palestinians would do.

“We are waiting for you in all the West Bank cities from Hebron to Jenin - we will slaughter you and you will say that what Hitler did to you was a joke,” Tamimi wrote on social media.

“We will drink your blood and eat your skull. Come on, we are waiting for you.”

Tamimi is a leading activist in the Palestinian Authority, having gained notoriety for her violence against IDF soldiers in her hometown of Nabi Saleh, where she has reportedly continued to attacked IDF soldiers since she was a child.

She was convicted for attacks on IDF troops in March 2018 and was subsequently sentenced to eight months in prison and eight months of probation.

Tamimi is considered to be a hero by fellow Palestinians, according to the Jerusalem Post.

“She is considered by a large part of the Palestinians to be a national hero and one of the symbols of the Palestinian struggle against Israel’s policy in the territories. As of May 2018, she is an honorary member of the Palestinian National Council,” the Jerusalem Post wrote.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir praised Tamimi's arrest in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

“Kudos to the IDF forces who arrested tonight the terrorist and ‘human rights activist’ Ahed Tamimi from Nabi Saleh who was previously convicted of attacking IDF soldiers and who, since the outbreak of the war, has expressed sympathy and support for the human animal Nazis on social media. Zero tolerance for terrorists and supporters of terrorism! Only like that!” he wrote.

According to Tamimi’s mother, her daughter Ahed did not write the post.

“There are dozens of (online) pages in Ahed’s name with her photo, with which she has no connection,” Nariman al-Tamimi told AFP.

According to his wife, Bassem al-Tamimi, Ahed’s father, was arrested on Oct. 20.

Tamimi’s incitement to murder Jews in the wake of the Oct. 7 massacre is nothing new for Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria, internationally known as the West Bank, and whose leadership has celebrated the massacre and has called for more killing of Jews.

Less than two days after Hamas terrorists invaded the south of Israel the Palestinian Authority's Fatah movement, led by PA leader, Mahmoud Abbas celebrated the murder of Israelis and announced that its terror wing, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, would be committing even more terrorism against Israelis.

Senior Fatah party official Abbas Zaki also thanked Hamas for the massacre during a TV broadcast on Oct. 14, in which he appeared with Osama Hamdan of Hamas’ Political Bureau.
