Houthis will share ‘miserable fate’ of Hamas & Hezbollah, vows Israel’s UN ambassador after latest missile attack
Large missile parts fall in Beit Shemesh after attack, no injuries reported
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, on Monday, vowed that the Yemeni Houthi terrorists would share the fate of Hamas and Hezbollah if they do not stop attacking Israel.
However, the Houthis, within hours, launched another ballistic missile toward Israel and appear set to continue their attacks undeterred for the foreseeable future.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday night, rocket alarm sirens were triggered across large parts of central Israel, including the greater Tel Aviv area and towns in the foothills of the Judean mountains, including Beit Shemesh and Modi’in.
The IDF stated: “The Air Force intercepted one missile launched from Yemen. The missile was intercepted before it crossed into Israel, the warnings were activated for fear of interception fragments falling.”

The Houthis later claimed to have launched two ballistic missiles, one at Ben-Gurion International Airport and another at a power station south of Jerusalem, which were both said to have hit their target. While take-offs and landings were halted for a short time, the airport did not sustain any damage from the attack.
In another baseless claim, the Houthis said, “These two operations coincided with a joint operation by the naval force, missile forces, and the drone force of the Yemeni armed forces that targeted the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman with a large number of drones and cruise missiles while the American forces were preparing to launch a major air attack against our country.”
The latest missile launch coincided with a new round of U.S.-British airstrikes against the terror group, which has attacked Israel and numerous ships traversing the Red Sea off the Yemeni coast for the last year.
A Houthi-affiliated channel reported two attacks against a weapons depot in southern Hodeidah on Monday.

Following the widespread alarms, Israel Police located two areas in Beit Shemesh where large parts of the Houthi missile fell after the interception.
While the shrapnel did not result in any casualties, Magen David Adom rescue services said a woman was taken to hospital after being lightly injured from a fall sustained while running to a shelter earlier.
“The operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces will not stop until the aggression on Gaza is stopped and the siege is lifted,” the Houthi statement concluded. In recent weeks, the terrorists have been launching missiles at Israel during nighttime hours.
Last week, the terror group in Yemen fired five missiles at Israel at about 2 a.m., with the last time being the night between Friday and Saturday.
Israel has struggled to deter the Houthis from continuing their attacks, despite regular airstrikes by the U.S.-led coalition and three series of strikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force so far.

Speaking before Monday’s UN Security Council meeting, Danon told reporters: “Israel will defend its people. If 2,000 kilometers (1,243 miles) is not enough to separate our children from the terror, let me assure you, it will not be enough to protect their terror from our strengths.”
“To the Houthis, perhaps you have not been paying attention to what has happened to the Middle East over the past year. Well, allow me to remind you what has happened to Hamas, to Hezbollah, to Assad, to all those who have attempted to destroy us. Let this be your final warning,” Danon said at the meeting.
“This is not a threat. It is a promise. You will share the same miserable fate.”
