Under new travel restrictions, Israel to allow quarantine exemption for those who had three shots
Exemption from quarantine will apply only to Israelis who have received three shots of the Pfizer COVID vaccine in Israel, according to the Corona Cabinet which also updated its list of high- and low-risk countries.
From Sept. 3 travelers arriving from any country except Turkey, Brazil, Mexico or Bulgaria, may be exempt from quarantine 24 hours after landing after receiving negative COVID results at Ben-Gurion Airport only if they received three doses of the vaccine in Israel; two doses of the vaccine in Israel within the past six months; recovered from COVID in the past half year; or recovered and received an additional dose of the vaccine in Israel.
Travelers vaccinated outside of Israel are subject to a seven-day minimum quarantine no matter how many shots they've had or what type. Serological tests are not accepted as a substitute for the above requirements.
