Franklin Graham tells NRB conference satanic forces are behind destruction of America

In a speech delivered at the opening of the 2023 National Religious Broadcasters conference in Orlando, Florida on Monday, Evangelical leader Franklin Graham said that satanic forces are behind the war being waged against America and the Christian values it has historically held.

“There’s a storm coming, and we’ve all got to be prepared," warned Graham, who is president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He noted that many corporate and political entities are becoming increasingly hostile to those who hold traditional Christian teachings.

“The world is deteriorating so quickly. It seems like every demon in hell has been turned loose,” he added. “We're living in a ‘cancel’ culture,” Graham said of American society, arguing that many major corporations “want to destroy Christian organizations.”

“They want us to shut our mouths,” he told the NRB audience. “They don’t want to hear from us.”

During his speech, Graham called upon Christians to decrease their reliance upon corporations owned and operated by those who are hostile to Christ. Specifically, Graham warned that, in the coming years, banks, insurance companies and data storage companies would cut off organizations that are vocal about the Gospel and biblical values.

“Who owns the cloud?” Graham asked the crowd, referring to the data storage system in which users’ data is stored not on their own computers, but in a corporation’s data centers. Calling out one of America’s top data storage companies, Graham said it is “Amazon” that “owns the cloud,” arguing that the e-commerce giant will ban outspoken Christian organizations from its services in the coming years.

Graham’s concerns about Amazon are by no means unfounded, as two years ago Amazon Web Services stopped hosting conservative social media site, Parler, due to its stance on free speech. And this was just days after leftist-owned social media sites chose to ban former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Samaritan’s Purse, Graham said of his non-profit ministry, has built its own data storage facility, so it no longer need rely on Amazon or similar companies. In addition to the measures taken to protect its data, Samaritan’s Purse has also begun moving its money into a Christian-owned bank, Graham said.

The Evangelical leader attributed the increased institutional hostility against Christian teaching to demonic forces, stating that the primary means by which the devil is advancing his cause is through LGBTQ activists. “I love them enough to try to warn them this is sin," Graham said of those who embrace and promote LGBTQ teachings and behavior.

Graham not only spoke about the coming dangers; he also called on Christians to stand firm in their faith and to boldly proclaim the gospel:

“We cannot back up, we can’t retreat, don’t apologize for the gospel. Just declare it, just preach it,” he said.
