Foreign Minister Lapid to head to US for three days of meetings
Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid will take off for the United States tomorrow for a three-day state visit.
He will meet with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“One of the subjects during my trip to Washington will be expanding the number of nations that are in this agreement,” Lapid said at a Knesset event on Monday inaugurating the Abraham Accords Caucus.
“I want to thank President Trump for his role in the agreements and thank opposition leader Netanyahu, who did a great thing with these agreements,” Lapid said. "The country owes him a big thanks."
The U.S. State Department said the three leaders will discuss "progress made since the signing of the Abraham Accords last year, future opportunities for collaboration, and bilateral issues including regional security and stability."
