Direct commercial flights between Israel and Morocco inaugurated today
Morocco joined the Abraham Accords in December 2020, reestablishing diplomatic relations with Israel.
Two Israeli airlines, El Al and Israir, launched their historic first flights to Marrakesh, Morocco today in celebratory fashion.

Last week, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid confirmed reports that he will visit Morocco next month in order to open a diplomatic mission in Rabat.
He wrote on Twitter: "The visit will take place after open direct flights to Morocco at the end of the month. This is a historic event. I want to thank the king of Morocco, Mohammed VI, for his leadership in promoting the visit and the renewal of relations."
