US Congresswoman Tlaib calls Biden an 'enabler' of 'genocidal maniac Netanyahu'

Tlaib threatens she is 'not going to forget in November'

U.S. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib said in a speech on Sunday that there would be serious political consequences for U.S. President Joe Biden and his allies for supporting “genocidal maniac Netanyahu.”

Tlaib indicated that those opposed to U.S. support of Israel’s current war in Gaza should withhold their vote from Biden in the November election.

“It is disgraceful that the Biden administration and my colleagues in Congress continue to smear [anti-Zionist protestors] for protesting to save lives – no matter faith or ethnicity,” the Democratic representative from Michigan said. “It is cowardly. But we’re not going to forget in November, are we?”

Responding to Biden’s recent condemnation of the International Criminal Court's (ICC) decision to pursue arrest warrants against Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Tlaib accused Biden of enabling genocide.

“President Biden, I hope you hear us loud and clear,” she stated. “Attacking the authority of the International Criminal Court and interfering in the legal process is nothing more than an attempt to prevent the genocidal maniac Netanyahu and senior Israeli officials from being held accountable for their crimes against humanity.”

“You are an enabler, President Biden,” she declared.

“Each year, our country – and I say our country because it is our country – sends billions of dollars to maintain an apartheid government, and support the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians,” Tlaib said, calling for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel.

Tlaib, who is the first Palestinian-American woman to be elected to Congress, made the comments at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit, Michigan.

The Times of Israel reported that “the conference has included speakers affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine — a US-designated terror group.”

“All backers of Zionism, Israel, and US imperialism have been put on notice,” states the conference website. “The perpetrators of genocide and occupation have names and faces, and the masses of people around the world stand against them in the millions.”

As has been widely reported, Biden is losing significant numbers of potential Democratic voters due to his support of Israel.

The New York Post reported that Biden is losing the support of many young people, “which experts and the core demographic bloc chalked up to inflation, the dismal job market and Israel.”

Citing a survey it commissioned, the NY Post reported that “46% of voters aged 18-29” said they would support Trump over Biden, “while just 43% chose Biden.”

While Trump is also supportive of Israel, many Democrats are refusing to vote for Biden in protest against his Israel stance.
