JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — Nick Vujicic, the hugely influential Australian-American evangelist of Serbian heritage, returned as a keynote speaker this year at the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast.

He came with a sobering message.

Focusing his remarks on chapter two of the Old Testament Book of Joel, Vujicic told the nearly 400 attendees from 40 nations that it’s time to “blow a trumpet in Zion.”

Then he warned Israel’s enemies that judgment is coming and “the Day of the Lord is coming, surely it’s near.”

Born without arms and legs, Vujicic is a New York Times best-selling author, coach, entrepreneur, and anti-bullying advocate who has traveled the world giving motivational speeches, drawing from the tremendous obstacles he has faced both physically and emotionally.

Vujicic has also become a passionate advocate for Israel, mobilizing Christians to pray for Israel, and meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.

In 2022, Vujicic made his first visit to Israel and gave this exclusive interview to ALL ISRAEL NEWS.

Here is a partial transcript – and video clips – of Vujicic’s message.

Verse 12: “Now therefore says the Lord, turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. So rend your hearts and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and he relents from doing harm.”

God is faithful. God is kind. God is God. We are not. But as we stand under the shadow of his wing and we stand upright, and we do fast. Two years ago, Albert says, “Nick, you said that there would be, God willing, millions of people praying.”

I'm not going to pray. I'm just going to speak. Sorry. I know it's a prayer breakfast, but I'm going to speak.

I will say this: Yes, the time has come. The time is not slowing down. It's going to get worse before it gets better. And I think there is a T intersection. And as a son, I want you to understand something.

Listen very, very clearly. Human beings will make mistakes. The governments will make mistakes, all around the world.

As my parents were born and raised in former Yugoslavia, my grandfathers were in jail because human beings made mistakes for the persecution of their faith.

My mum was six years old when she was in refugee camps, going to bed hungry. My dad was 15, in refugee camps, fleeing, going to bed hungry.

We as a Serbian nation - I love you, everyone, I love you - but I as a Serbian, I'm going to tell you as sad as you are about Palestine being recognized by some nations.

I am a Serbian. I'm sad that Kosovo is also recognized as a nation, and I don't need to get into layers. But I as a Serbian descent, do you understand? There was a part that should, in our opinion… all I'm trying to tell you is men will make mistakes.

But we then even more earnestly know that the day of the Lord is coming, more even earnestly, we pray for Jerusalem because we are mandated.

Woe, woe, woe to anyone who denies Israel and not woe in the last day to be condemned. No, you will see very quickly condemnation come to your doors, all the world. If you do turn your back, it'll be quick.

We must stand with Israel. The time is now, and the unity of unities begins now under the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

And this is the last and final warning. If not now - there is no when. Let's pray. Let's stand. If not now, there is no when, do you understand? Do you understand?

God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We thank you for who you are.

We thank you that you are faithful. We thank you that nothing, nothing, nothing is surprising to you.

We thank you for all the prophecies. We thank you for the Psalms. We thank you that we could even read Psalm 83. And as we hold, grieving and loss and sorrow and fear and anxiety and depression and grieving and confusion, God with all the human feelings that we have, we ask that you would strengthen your people supernaturally.

That you would give us your strength, that you would give us the courage that we need, that you would give us the faith.

And even in trouble, even amid sorrow, even amid war, we worship you.

We thank you because you are God and you sit on your throne and God we thank you that you love Israel.

We thank you, Lord, that you would heed to our prayers, Lord, we pray for our enemies to stop, and go away.

And we thank you that the day of the Lord is nigh.

Amen.
