‘Christians for Israel’ center in the Netherlands vandalized by pro-Palestinian activists days before pro-Israel protest in Amsterdam
‘We remain committed to Israel and the Jewish community in our country’
For the second time in months, the "Israel Center" of the Christians for Israel (C4I) organization in Nijkerk, in the Netherlands, was vandalized by radical climate and pro-Palestinian activists.
On Monday morning, 11 protesters from the Extinction Rebellion, Justice Now and Christian Collective (the activist wing of Kairos Sabeel) groups “defaced the entire facade of the building and spray-painted slogans on the walls,” according to C4I.
The activists accused the pro-Israel advocacy group of “supporting genocide,” being “child murderers” and “complicit in the events in Gaza,” and tried to assault staff members who were just arriving for work, according to Ynet News.

Despite the police arriving within 20 minutes, it took them almost three hours to clear the building.
“The incident is the latest in a series of targeted actions against Christians for Israel. Last summer, the building was similarly defaced with graffiti by members of what appears to be the same group,” said C4I.
The latest anti-Israeli incident follows shortly after migrants and pro-Palestinian activists violently attacked Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam.
In response, C4I together, with the Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI) and other Dutch-Jewish groups, have organized a major demonstration in Amsterdam on Thursday to show support for the Jewish community and Israel.

“The plan appears to have angered organizations, some of whom have resorted to disruptive and destructive tactics,” C4I said.
The organization’s director, Frank van Oordt, stressed that the accusations of supporting “genocide” hold no water, given C4I’s actions over the past years.
“As you often see with such actions, people act out of ignorance. This campaign is another example of that. If the activists knew what we stand for, they would not have carried out this action,” he said.

“For years, we have donated hundreds of thousands of euros to organizations that help Palestinians and promote cooperation between Arab and Jewish communities in Israel. We prefer to let our actions speak for themselves,” van Oordt added.
C4I also stressed the symbolism of the attack, which it said comes amid “growing tensions in Europe as the war between Israel and Hamas appears to be spilling over into local communities. For Christians for Israel, the incident underscores the importance of their upcoming demonstration, which is aimed at promoting solidarity with and support for the Jewish people.”
“We are shocked that this is happening in our country. We stand up for Israel and it makes us even stronger. We are shocked, especially because it was done by other Christians. We cannot understand that Christians do not want to see that it is the Biblical truth that God brings his people back to the land. But we will stand up and continue to make this known to all Christians in the Netherlands and throughout the world,” van Oordt concluded.
