Two more killings over weekend bring Arab-Israeli deaths to almost 180 this year
Two Arab-Israelis were shot and killed in separate incidents over the weekend in Haifa and Rahat, according to Israel Police reports.
The Haifa attack involved a man in his 50s, who was shot and killed near a restaurant. He was rushed to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival after resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
According to police, the shooting was a result of a feud between two families.
In the second incident, an 18-year-old boy, who had been previously injured in a shooting two weeks ago, was shot and killed in the southern Bedouin city of Rahat.
He was taken to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva, where he was declared dead.
Police said the murder was criminal in nature.
The Abraham Initiatives anti-violence group said the two killings brought the death toll from criminal violence to 180 so far this year.
