Israeli airstrike reported in southern Lebanon following launches by Hezbollah
The Hezbollah-owned Lebanese news site Al-Manar reported Israeli airstrikes on the town of Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon on Sunday. According to the report, these were the first airstrikes of the day, after several artillery strikes were reported during the day.
Late Sunday night, Israeli Air Force fighter jets attacked a military building and military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the area of Aita a-Shaab. Another site connected to Hezbollah military infrastructure was struck near Kafr Kila.
Throughout Sunday, a number of missile launches were identified from Lebanese territory into Israeli territory near Metula and Malkiya.
Shortly after the strikes were reported in Al-Manar, the IDF confirmed that Israel had carried out the attacks in response to the artillery launches from Hezbollah sites in Lebanon.
