Hezbollah claims responsibility for barrage of rockets fired at Israel’s north
Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a barrage of 18 rockets launched towards Israel’s north on Wednesday morning.
According to Hezbollah, the target was an Israeli naval facility near Rosh Hanikra.
The IDF said that six rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. There were no reports of casualties.
There have been almost daily rocket, mortar, or anti-tank missile launches by Hezbollah towards Israel since the start of the ground campaign in Gaza.
Israeli officials have warned Hezbollah several times that the IDF's resources are not solely dedicated to Gaza and that it would respond aggressively and decisively if Hezbollah seeks to escalate the situation on the northern border.
