Almost simultaneously, rocket alarms sound in Israel’s north and south
Shortly after 4 p.m. Israeli time, air raid sirens in Israel’s southern communities near Ashdod were sounded, as a volley of rockets from Hamas-controlled Gaza were launched at Israel.
There were impacts, however, according to reports, there were no injuries at the time of publication.
Only a few minutes later, air raid sirens near the Lebanese border south of Kiryat Shmona, and along the western coastline from Shlomi all the way down to Haifa, also sounded.
The sirens in the north represent the first time today that shots were fired at communities outside of the Gaza envelope.
Lebanese news site Al-Mayadeen reported that 15 rockets were launched toward Israel.
The IDF responded with artillery strikes at several Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.
