Hamas - The biggest scammers of all time
Part of the nature of scammers is that they hold a very low opinion of those they are trying to swindle. In coming up with a racket, which they believe is so deviously clever, there is a contemptuous devaluing, on their part, in the ability of others to see through the scheme, but, unbeknownst to them, many are quite capable of sensing the con job that is put before them.
In that regard, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more fitting example of scammers than Hamas, who think they have fooled everyone into believing that they are ready to make a deal, which would release the hostages, but, because they are grifters, their preposterous terms do nothing but show their utter contempt for Israel by proposing conditions which have no basis in reality for anyone seriously fighting a battle for their very existence.
Chief among their demands is “a complete withdrawal from Gaza,” something which I predicted in my ALL ISRAEL NEWS article of March 3, where I wrote, “We can speculate that a demand will be made for the IDF to agree that an incursion into Rafah will be off the table because that is where the real rat’s nest is housed.” That particular demand was predictable since Rafah is what remains in order to finish the war.
Other conditions include the release of several notorious Palestinian terrorists, including “Marwan Barghouti, who has been held in an Israeli prison since 2002, after having been tried and convicted of murder and receiving five life sentences. Also on the list are Hamas bombmaker Abdullah Barghouti, Ibrahim Hamed, head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Ibrahim Hamied, the former commander of Hamas’s military wing in the West Bank as well as Abbas al-Sayed, a senior Hamas member responsible for planning bombings that killed dozens of Israelis.” A great number of many other prisoners would also be released.
This stink-bomb of a deal would be dependent on a one-week ceasefire where no hostage would see the light of day, and only once a complete withdrawal occurs, would hostages be released, although there is no mention of all 134 of them. Calling the deal non-negotiable, it’s a wonder that Hamas dragged out its debut of this deal for a period of 48 hours, because each one of these terms is a non-starter, making it a true scam. Hence, it expresses nothing more than a complete slap-in-the-face for the Jewish homeland. What more should we expect from savage terrorists who have no respect, dignity or regard for anyone or anything – not even their own lives?
But there might be another explanation. If they are not operating from a place of total scorn and malice, then they are, likely, engaging in an amusing game of, “Let’s see how far we can go in taunting and torturing the Zionists.” In fact, it’s very plausible that both contempt and taunting are the elements that are at work in these latest set of demands which the frustrated among the nations, will, surely urge us to accept – even knowing it’s a bad deal, in order to relieve them from the annoying, screeching voices which constantly invade their spaces, calling for a “Ceasefire Now.”
Hamas can be defined as many things, but unprepared is not among them, because they have calculated every possible response, well in advance, readying themselves for each scenario and all possibilities. One of the factors, upon which they must be banking, is that the longer this war goes on, the more world pressure will be exerted upon Israel to cave in and agree to the most outrageous demands which could ever be presented. And they don’t get more outrageous than this – short of telling us that we must completely vacate our own capital city of Jerusalem.
It's easy to ask for the sun, the moon and the stars while nations of the world are doing the bidding of terrorists and when ordinary, once sane people are excusing despicable acts such as rape, beheadings, torture and the wholesale murder of innocents as justifiable responses to an “occupying force which is preventing them from realizing their goal of taking the land which was given to the Jews but which they claim is rightfully theirs.
In this distorted fantasy where history is being rewritten to accommodate a people who are intent on pulling off the greatest scam ever, there are enough amoral and disingenuous helpers who are willing to pitch in and lend a hand with this deceptive sham.
So why wouldn’t Hamas go for the whole enchilada? A great part of pulling off a scam is not only knowing the weaknesses of your targeted victim, but also understanding who could be useful in helping to get the job done. For a heist of this magnitude, one needs a coordinated team of swindlers and dishonest accomplices who are not very bright but also devoid of a troubling conscience. Because if they only took a few minutes to familiarize themselves with the conflict, the history and the facts, they might actually come to the conclusion that they’re helping a lying cause.
Hamas has accurately deduced that this generation isn’t keen on figuring out things for themselves. They’d rather rely on the influence of social media to dictate to them how to think and what to support. This has been a winning tact for the terrorists which couldn’t have a more loyal group of subjects, ready to back their barbaric and demonic ploys.
Israel, on the other hand, must not fall into the trap of allowing pressure, blackmail or coercion to be the means by which capitulation to a brutal enemy is attained, because to do so will result in a series of the same horrific attacks which brought us to this chaos in the first place.
Our leaders must be steady, measured, clear-thinkers who are willing to resist the temptation of a quick fix brought on by those who are not heavily invested in our welfare. The survival of the Jewish people, in their own homeland, after 2000 years of dispersion into hostile nations, many of whom betrayed them and happily spewed them out of their midst, must never be up for grabs.
We owe it to ourselves, and also to the Almighty, to remember “from whence our help cometh.” With total reliance upon Him, the great strategist and keeper of Israel, we will finally be able to position ourselves for the win that He will ensure, because this, after all, is His land, His people and His battle!
Those who have arrogantly tried to scam God’s people will quickly discover that they are no match for the One who is protecting them!
