Biden: Gaza war will end 'when Hamas no longer has capacity to do horrific things to Israelis'
On Thursday, U.S. President Joe Biden backed the IDF's operation at Shifa Hospital in Gaza and said it has been proven that Hamas has a military headquarters and equipment under the hospital.
At a press conference in San Francisco, Biden said that the IDF recognizes its obligation to act carefully, but is faced with a terrible dilemma as to how to operate.
"We talked to the Israelis about the need to be careful," the U.S. president said, reiterating his position that "Hamas has committed war crimes."

Regarding the hostage situation, Biden said he is "very involved in the negotiations," but would not go into details.
He said, "There is great cooperation from the Qataris. I am cautiously optimistic."
When asked when the war will end, the president replied: "When Hamas no longer maintains the capacity to murder, abuse, and just do horrific things to Israelis. They still think they can do it."
However, Biden once again said he made it clear to Israel that the establishment of a Palestinian state is the only solution to the conflict and he believes it is a mistake to reoccupy Gaza.
