Bennett meets with delegation of ambassadors to US & UN in Tel Aviv, said there will be a 'price to pay' for boycotting Israel
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met today with a delegation of ambassadors to the U.S. and the UN, led by Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. and the UN Gilad Erdan.
Bennett referred to the boycott against Israel and said that whoever thinks to turn the boycott of the State of Israel into a marketing or branding issue would discover that this is the worst business decision he could make. He said that consumers in Israel, but also in the U.S. and other countries, would not think that siding with Hamas is at all 'cool.' He noted that Israel would use all the tools at its disposal – including legal – on this issue, and declared that those who boycott Israel – whose only fault is that it fights terrorism – need to know that there will be a price to pay.
Ambassador Erdan said that it was precisely at the present time, when commercial companies are capitulating to BDS pressures and taking anti-Israel political considerations into account when making decisions, that the ambassadors' visits take on special and major importance. He noted that in the wake of their visit, the ambassadors have undertaken to influence their countries' positions and to stand alongside Israel in its fight against the hypocrisy and anti-Israel discrimination in the UN and the international arena.
